Teachers are the 'Nation Builders' and rightly so as they mould the minds of young disciples to lead the country towards new horizons. To contribute considerably in the nation building process, by churning out earnest and arduous teachers, Shri Krishna Shiksha Prasar Samiti set up the B. Ed. department, approved by NCTE and affiliated to Ch. Charan Singh, University, Meerut in the year 2000. The purpose was to make a world of difference to teacher training program which often appeared to have lost its gloss.
The Department of Education under IIMS has the privilege of having highly qualified and committed team of teachers, who slog day-in, day-out to deliver the goods to the pupil teachers. The teacher training Programme, which is of one year duration, comprises of comprehensive schedule to bring out the best in the teacher trainees. The motto behind the establishment of B.Ed department in IIMS is clearly to make a sizeable difference to the quality of teacher training Programme.
At IIMS, Department of Education gives a fresh lease of life to the conventional curriculum pattern by concentrating on overall development of teacher trainees who are duly armed with requisite skills and expertise alongside value education to imbibe human values that forever reign supreme.
In addition to the B. Ed. program, the department of Education is about to come up with Elementary Teacher Education Programme (ETE) of two years duration.
M. Ed. Programme is likely to begin from the session 2010-11
