The division of computer applications offer MCA & BCA programmes. The programmes aim to help students to gain the skill and knowledge necessary to make successful transition from college life into successful professional life. The curriculum is designed in such a way, as to provide high quality expertise and knowledge, which is not just simulating, but also develops the trainee into business leader who can easily and effectively analyze business situations. The students get extensive education in developing applications to solve business problems of various kinds using computer software. Emphasis is to develop problem solving skills and application software using various protocols.
IIMS provides regular interaction with high profile professionals from industry and academics inculcating a life long thirst for learning.
The institute has seven state-of-the-art computer labs. These labs are assigned separately for variety of applications / languages/technologies. We have got all the ingredients of world-class facilities in educating our scholars.
IIMS consists of Client/Server architecture & High Speed Multi-Services Enabled Network Infrastructure with BSNL/Reliance Leased Line internet connectivity and Converged Network with integrated Voice, Video & Data. The Technology used for this network is one of the latest and backed by Latest Operating Systems & Softwares, D-Link Switches, E-CAT6 cables & structured networking accessories (D-Link certified network), which control the flow of data on network.
The Institutions are committed to provide best facilities available to support students' performance in this .NET age. To incorporate emerging technologies, the hub of computer center is equipped with the latest state-of-the-art Server Control Center & Computer Labs.
Server Control Center is well equipped with six high speed IBM Xeon Dual Processor Servers (Novell NetWare, SCO UNIX, Red Hat Linux, Win2000 Terminal Server, Win2003 Advance Database Server & Windows 2003 Web Edition). Computer center consists of more than 900 Desktops powered by Intel Core2Duo/Dual Core/Pentium IV processor. Windows 2000 Professional/Windows XP/Fedora used on desktop as Operating System and RDBMS (Oracle/MS-SQL/pg-sql), Multimedia & Graphics (Macromedia Dreamweaver, Flash & Studio, Adobe Photoshop & CorelDraw), Visual Applications (Microsoft Visual Studio.NET, Quanta Plus & wine), Office Suites (Office 2003/2007, Lotus SmartSuite's & Star Office), Developer Languages (C, C++, gcc, Fortran, Cobol, Delphi, Java, XML, VRML etc.), Simulators (Multisim, Win-Spice, Lasi, MATLAB, Tanner Pro, Tina Pro, MASM), Case Tools (MS-Project, MS-Visio, Rational), CAD Tools (AutoCAD, MS-Visio Technical) software are installed on these desktops. Complete power backup is provided with more than 100 KVA Online UPS.
Internet is unleashed with BSNL (2Mbps) and Reliance (10Mbps) Leased Line on OFC for 24 Hours Internet Connectivity & Interactive Video-conferencing. Hi-tech accessories like LCD projector, DVD/CD Server/writer, Video-conferencing Systems, CCTV Camera, Color Flat Bed Scanner, High Speed Color Printer/All-in-One and Web Camera etc are part of the Computer Center which enables students to learn while sharpening their skills on latest technologies. DIGITAL LIBRARY facility is also provided for students through IEEE & DELNET for International & National Online Journals.
